DMA - Done!

I passed my DMA Defense and I'm officially Dr. Nathan Mertens! The DMA is finished and I'm finally done with school...in America. It's kind of surreal to be done with school after so many years. Now, just 30 more days until I begin school again; but this time, in Japan!

After some slight revisions, my document and lecture recital topic "Beginning Approaches to Saxophone Voicing: Pedagogy and Methodology" will be made available for anyone who is interested! A big thanks to my committee for their guidance and support throughout the process. Me and my committee, comprised of Jonathan Gunn, Dr. Stephen Page, Dr. Hannah Lewis, Marianne Gedigian, Jerry Junkin, Anne Duncan, and Dr. Robert Hatten, are picture below post-defense.
